Plumbers and HVAC installers
You replace the boiler. We haul the old one.
You sold the job on the new equipment, not on spending a day breaking down cast iron and carrying it up basement stairs. Hand us that part.
- You disconnect and drain. We take the old boiler apart, carry it out, and haul it away.
- We work around your install schedule, so the house is without heat for as short a time as possible.
- Residential basements and commercial boiler rooms.
- If there's insulation that may contain asbestos, we get a quote from a licensed asbestos removal company, and that work is completed before the boiler comes out. We don't do asbestos removal ourselves. More on that.
Oil-to-gas conversions
The gas goes in and the old oil tank stays behind. That's how tanks get forgotten, and how your customer ends up with a problem at closing years later. Nassau County says aboveground tanks should be removed when they're replaced or during a gas conversion.
Send us the tank. Basement tanks, outdoor tanks, and buried tanks, removed or abandoned. We file everything with the county and your customer gets a receipt showing it was filed. How tank removal works.
Oil companies
Replacing a customer's tank? We can take the old one out. Call to talk through how you'd like to work it.
Real estate agents and attorneys
Need a tank closed before closing? Call early.
In Nassau, the county inspection has to be scheduled at least 7 days ahead, and that's after the estimate and getting on the calendar. The earlier we hear about the tank, the less likely it is to move your closing date.
- We deal directly with your client on access, scheduling, and the estimate.
- Tank removal or abandonment, with paperwork for the file. We file everything with the county and your client gets a receipt showing it was filed. One to two weeks later, the completed work shows up in the county's online records, so you or the buyer's attorney can look it up. In Nassau, the county also issues a verification letter; in Suffolk, proof of closure goes on file with the Department of Health Services.
- Old closure with missing paperwork? Call and we'll tell you what we can look at.
