What this covers
Steel that has to come out of a building or off a property, cut into pieces that can be handled, and hauled away.
That can mean structural steel like beams and columns, or the miscellaneous steel every older building collects: stairs, platforms, railings, racks, frames, and old equipment. Residential and commercial.
How it works
-
Walk the job
We look at what's coming out, how it's attached, and how we'll get it out of the building. Photos are a good start.
-
Price
We call you with a price for the work we walked. No obligation.
-
Cut, carry, haul
The steel is cut down to manageable pieces, carried out, and loaded. The work area is cleaned up when we leave.
Before any demolition: asbestos survey
New York's Industrial Code Rule 56 requires an asbestos survey before a contractor demolishes or removes building components. Only a licensed asbestos removal company may remove asbestos-containing material. We don't do asbestos removal, so if the survey finds any, that work happens first.
What helps us price it
- What the steel is and roughly how much of it there is
- Where it is: basement, ground floor, upper floor, outside
- How we get it out: doors, stairs, elevator, loading area
- Whether the building will be occupied while we work
- Your timeline
- A few photos, wide and close up
